Food banks provide emergency food parcels, usually requiring a referral from a professional. If you cannot get a referral, try a drop-in service below.

Food Pantries & Community Larders

Food pantries offer a low-cost weekly shop of quality food — usually for a small membership fee of around £3.50 per week.

What is a food pantry?

Pantries are different from food banks. You pay a small amount each week (usually £3–£5) and receive food worth much more. This helps maintain dignity and choice. Anyone can join — you do not need to be in crisis.

Parish Pantry — Armley (LS12)

Weekly pantry open to all residents of Armley and surrounding areas. Choose from a wide range of fresh, chilled, and dried food items.

Beeston Community Larder (LS11)

Community-run pantry with a warm café space. Includes access to recipe cards and cooking tips alongside your food.

Gipton Neighbourhood Pantry (LS9)

Open to all residents in Gipton and East Leeds. Includes children's snacks and baby items where available.

Large pantry serving North Leeds communities. Fresh vegetables from local allotments when in season.
